Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Warm cinnamon and honey open in the nose, playing with tequila’s notes of vanilla and oak undertones.
  • Palate: At first, the pallet experiences the smooth blend of caramel and light oak flavors from Reposado tequila, enhanced with spiced honey syrup and smoky-spicy character from Ancho Reyes. Fresh, tangy lime juice presses in, while dry curaçao adds a subtle orange-zest note.
  • Finish: Long, warming, with lingering cinnamon and a touch of smokiness, counterbalanced by the bitters’ complexity.

Miel del Desierto translates to “Honey of the Desert” and suitably defines the sleek, subtle flavors of Reposado tequila in this cocktail, at one time warm and slightly spicy, yet harmoniously balanced with sweet, citric, and smoky notes.

This refined desert elixir from mexico channels the refreshing spirit of agave.
